Creation Care Congregations in the Indianapolis Area
|

|
There is a growing number of area congregations who recognize that their faith calls them to respect and preserve all of Creation. The general term used to describe this movement is Care for Creation or Creation Care.
Many denomiations have coined their own terms to describe their Creation Care efforts. Such terms as "Eco-Justice", "Green Sanctuary", and others are being used. All are greatly welcomed and appreciated.
There is no "cookie cutter" approach for what Creation Care Congregations are doing. Each congregation draws upon its own unique membership, history and faith tradition. This leads to a wonderful mix of activities, programs and organizational structures.
The purpose of this page is to:
- Help you start a "green team" if you don't have one, or
- Expand your effort if you have already begun one.
The information about each congregation's efforts and the contact information, is being generously shared by each "Green Team" contact person. We know that you wil be respectful of the information and use it for the purpose it was created.

How to Use This Page
Below you will find the names of congregations which we know have begun Creation Care efforts and about whom we have information. This is not the entire list of such congregations, more will be arriving soon. If you follow their hyperlinked name you can view, in PDF format, their survey results. If they provided documents of their own creation or those that assisted them, they are listed with their name.
